Join Pacific Life's data team in Charlotte, NC as a Data Engineer and help drive the company’s data initiatives by partnering with architects, analysts, and stakeholders to design and deliver robust solutions. Your daily tasks will include building scalable data pipelines using SQL, AWS, Snowflake, and other tools, creating unit tests, participating in code reviews, and deploying production systems while adhering to Agile methodologies. Ideal candidates have 7+ years of experience in data engineering with proficiency in SQL, ETL/ELT, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices. Familiarity with Git, Python, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Snowflake, DBT, and Control-M is beneficial. The role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team focused on financial services data challenges.
Design and develop scalable data pipelines using SQL, AWS, Snowflake.

Create unit/integration tests and implement automated build and deployment processes.
Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
Deploy, monitor, and maintain production systems in a DevOps environment.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Statistics required.
7+ years of experience in data analysis, design, development, and delivery.
Proficient in SQL, ETL/ELT, cloud data warehouses (AWS, Snowflake), and data management tools.
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Python.
Understanding of data engineering best practices and integration patterns.
Agile Scrum work experience and strong communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
