As a Senior Associate within the New Verticals Strategy & Operations team at DoorDash, you will play a pivotal role in shaping delivery and labor efficiency strategies by leveraging operational and product levers. Your responsibilities include defining and driving initiatives that enhance delivery quality, Dasher earnings, customer tipping experiences, and labor efficiency for DashMart operations. You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Finance teams to translate complex data into actionable insights, design new systems, and optimize existing operations to improve efficiency and elevate the user experience. This role demands strong ownership, strategic thinking, and analytical rigor, requiring you to drive initiatives from concept through execution while working in a hybrid model that includes both remote and on-site work at DashMarts. Ideal candidates have 4-6+ years of professional experience in product operations, logistics manufacturing, engineering, or business operations, with a preference for those with background in physical retail, manufacturing, or warehousing environments, particularly in grocery warehousing or online micro-fulfillment centers.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance delivery quality, Dasher earnings, and customer tipping.
Design models and frameworks for labor efficiency planning in DashMart operations.
Translate complex data into actionable insights to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
Identify product features and test/scale them with cross-functional teams to optimize operations.
Analyze the financial impacts of decisions and iterate based on data-driven insights.
Lead initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring continuous improvement in operational performance.
What we're looking for
4-6+ years of professional experience in product operations, logistics manufacturing, engineering, or business operations.
Experience in physical retail, manufacturing, or warehousing environments, with preference for grocery warehousing or online micro-fulfillment centers.
Strong analytical skills and comfort with data analysis using SQL or Excel.
BS/BA Degree preferably in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Ability to solve problems from first principles and operate effectively in ambiguous startup environments.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with engineering, product, and analytics departments.
