As a Senior Application Analyst within the Abbott Cancer Diagnostics team, you will manage business systems design, configuration, and upgrades for assigned technology platforms. You will serve as a primary support contact for end-users, identifying issues, performing impact analyses of desired changes, and building and testing system improvements to enhance platform performance and business processes. The role involves mentoring junior analysts, leading estimation for enhancement requests, and coordinating with software vendors to align technical delivery with business needs. Key requirements include expertise in Epic software applications, specifically within areas like patient identification workflows, revenue cycle, CRM, or lab order entry. You will utilize skills in workflow design, troubleshooting, and agile delivery methodologies to solve complex problems in the cancer detection and treatment guidance space while ensuring high-quality performance in a cross-functional environment.
Design, configure, and test system changes for assigned technology platforms.
Perform impact analysis of requested changes to improve platform performance and business processes.
Serve as the primary support contact to troubleshoot and resolve issues for application end-users.
Liaise with business stakeholders and software vendors to ensure alignment between business needs and technical delivery.
Mentor junior analysts and delegate configuration tasks or activities to team members.
Lead the estimation of enhancement requests and manage project status reporting with leadership.
Develop and document internal processes to drive continuous improvement for the IT department.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field; or a high school diploma and 4 years of relevant experience.
At least 5 years of experience developing or configuring technology solutions as an application analyst or project delivery role.
Subject Matter Expertise in patient identification workflows, revenue cycle, CRM & MyChart, Patient Registration, or lab order entry.
Ability to obtain relevant Epic software application certifications within 8 weeks of hire.
Professional working knowledge in Health Care or Biotechnology (preferred).
Professional working knowledge with agile delivery methodologies (preferred).
Applicable certifications such as Epic Referrals, Epic RTE, or Epic Prelude (preferred).
