As a Senior Appian Developer, you will join the team to drive enterprise-wide digital transformation and automation initiatives by designing and developing innovative applications that enhance efficiency and improve business outcomes. You will build and maintain enterprise-level applications using the Appian platform, creating user interfaces, process workflows, data models, records, reports, and SAIL components. Your daily work involves designing web services, troubleshooting technical issues, and integrating Appian with cloud services, APIs, and other enterprise platforms. The role requires expertise in object-oriented technology stacks, SQL, relational database design, and potentially Java or RPA tools like UiPath. You will specifically focus on solving business problems through intelligent automation, process mining, and AI-enabled solutions, including generative AI and intelligent document processing, to create scalable, high-quality software that supports critical functions across the organization.
Develop and maintain enterprise-level applications using the Appian platform.
Build user interfaces, process workflows, data models, records, reports, and integrations.
Design and develop SAIL interfaces, web services, and reusable application components.
Implement automation and AI-enabled solutions in partnership with architects and stakeholders.
Guide development teams on best practices for designing, testing, securing, and deploying applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to improve performance and reliability.
Integrate Appian applications with enterprise platforms, cloud services, and APIs.
Evaluate and adopt new technologies like intelligent document processing and process mining.
What we're looking for
You must have 5+ years of experience developing enterprise-level applications using object-oriented technology stacks.
You must have 3+ years of experience as a Senior Appian Developer on the Appian platform.
You must have 3+ years of experience with Appian components including Process Models, Records, Reports, Rules, SAIL, Security, Integrations, and Web APIs.
You must have experience integrating Appian with external systems, APIs, and enterprise applications.
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required, or equivalent military experience.
You must possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization.
Preferred qualifications include an Appian Lead Developer Certification.
Experience with AI, Generative AI, RPA platforms, SQL, or cloud-native architecture is preferred.
