As a Senior Advanced DevOps Engineer, you will join the engineering team to contribute to automation that instantiates and maintains container orchestration platforms. You will be responsible for automatically configuring and deploying infrastructure services including identity and access management, network architecture, application security, logging, monitoring, and deployment. The role involves providing architecture guidance, data migration, and troubleshooting to support platform implementation in the cloud for internal and external consumers. Experience with AWS, Azure, OpenStack, RHOSP, VIO, RabbitMQ, Redis, and Elasticsearch is relevant. The work involves solving complex problems in cloud computing environments while potentially applying AI/ML models for continuous improvement and innovation within a mission-critical technical landscape.

What you'll do

Automate the instantiation and maintenance of container orchestration platforms.
Automatically configure and deploy infrastructure services including identity management, networking, security, and monitoring.
Provide architecture guidance and best practices for implementing cloud platforms.
Execute data migrations and troubleshoot issues within cloud environments.
Create Ansible Playbooks and Terraform configurations to automate resource creation and service configuration.
Develop CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab or Jenkins.
Identify opportunities to apply AI models for continuous improvement and innovation.
Manage production-grade applications in virtualized environments using automation.

What we're looking for

U.S. citizenship is required.
A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related STEM field, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
8+ years of job-related experience if holding a Bachelor's degree.
Experience with container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab, Jenkins, Puppet, or Chef.
Experience using Ansible Playbooks and/or Terraform configurations to automate administrative actions.
Agile experience (preferred).
