Security Software Engineer, Secure Transports

What you'll do

• Define security properties and architecture for next-generation operating systems.
• Design and implement techniques to protect user privacy during web browsing, email, and messaging.
• Investigate and implement the next evolution of secure protocols.
• Develop software across the entire stack from the kernel through libraries and frameworks.
• Balance competing factors such as ease of use, performance, and security in engineering decisions.
• Create and bring to market new security methods for mobile and distributed computing.
• Promote and drive the adoption of new security technologies across the organization.

What we're looking for

• At least 1 year of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience in systems or OS development using C.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
• Experience with ASN1, X.509 certificate evaluation, TLS, or other secure protocols (preferred).
• Strong understanding of recent developments and concerns with standard protocols such as TLS (preferred).
• Industry exposure to and knowledge of OS security and applied cryptography (preferred).
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills (preferred).
• A genuine passion for creating effective and pragmatic transport security (preferred).
