Tapestry Solutions, part of Boeing Global Services, is hiring a Security Software Engineer in Swansea or Mascoutah, IL, to support the Global Decision Support System (GDSS) program for US Air Force AMC. This role involves coordinating security compliance efforts, integrating controls into CI/CD pipelines, and addressing vulnerabilities in AWS environments according to Department of War Cybersecurity requirements. The engineer will use tools like Nessus, AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, and Trend Micro Deep Security to monitor and enforce best practices for IAM, encryption, and network configurations while maintaining documentation on cloud security architecture. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s Degree, CompTIA Security+ certification, 5+ years of secure development experience, and prior GDSS support experience.
Coordinate efforts to address quarterly STIGs and plan actions for compliance.
Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines with DevOps teams.
Identify, analyze, and remediate security vulnerabilities in AWS environments.
Monitor Nessus scan results and coordinate necessary remediation actions.
Implement and enforce AWS security best practices aligned with policies.
Manage encryption solutions for data at rest and in transit within AWS.
Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud security architecture.
What we're looking for
5+ years of experience in secure development practices and operations
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field
CompTIA Security+ Certification required
Experience with AWS security best practices and tools
Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Clearance
Prior GDSS or MAFC2 Systems support preferred
Stay current with cloud security threats, vulnerabilities, and trends
