Security Engineer / IT Help Desk Technician

What you'll do

• Analyze and assess computer and network architecture security requirements to determine cost-effective solutions.
• Implement system security enhancements and upgrades based on STIG and NIST 800-53 standards.
• Provide technical support and complex problem resolution for escalated security infrastructure issues.
• Monitor and report on security requirements to ensure compliance with NMEC2 RMF and other directives.
• Maintain current system security documentation and bodies of evidence for accreditation and ATO support.
• Manage user accounts, including creation, password resets, and terminations, while tracking incidents in an ITSM tool.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for end-user devices such as workstations, printers, and scanners.
• Design and enhance firewalls and controlled interface security architectures based on organizational requirements.

What we're looking for

• Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
• Must have less than 2 years of relevant experience.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph or an active TS/SCI and willingness to obtain a Polygraph.
• Must meet DoD 8570.11-I requirements with a Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP plus an appropriate computing environment certification.
• Must have experience with Active Directory, Windows Server 2016/2019, IIS, DNS, DHCP, and Exchange.
• Must have experience with networking technologies, TCP/IP, and security assessments including STIGs.
• Must have experience with enterprise security tools such as Splunk, McAfee HBSS, and ACAS (preferred).
