As a Process Scientist/Engineer – Purification within the Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) organization, you will join the Purification Group to develop processes for isolating and purifying biologics such as recombinant proteins and vaccines. Your day-to-day responsibilities include executing purification unit operations at lab and pilot scales, conducting feasibility studies, cost/benefit analyses, and project planning, while also providing support for commercial scale operations. You will utilize technical expertise in chromatography, TFF, and NFF to troubleshoot process issues, optimize yields, and ensure successful technology transfer to GMP facilities. This role requires a BA/BS with 6 years or an MBA/MS with 4 years of relevant experience in chemical/biochemical engineering or biochemistry, along with strong skills in biologics purification and data analysis. You will collaborate across cross-functional teams including Pharmaceutical Science, Technical Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Quality organizations to drive project milestones and deliverables.

What you'll do

Execute and analyze results from purification unit operations at lab and pilot scales.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related biotechnology discipline required.
At least 4 years of relevant experience in purification processes for biologics.
Demonstrated proficiency in operating chromatography, TFF, and NFF equipment.
Strong technical skills in process development, scale-up, and troubleshooting.
Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional project teams.
Excellent communication and documentation skills for technical reports and presentations.
