TL;DR · RF/Microwave Engineer (RFIC Engineering)

Join our RFIC Engineering team as an RF/Microwave Engineer, where you will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to simulate and model RF front-end systems, derive hardware specifications, and develop microwave circuits and components. Your daily tasks include evaluating prototypes, characterizing RF components, and assisting in the creation of automated test equipment for lab measurements while working closely with manufacturing engineers on production testing. Ideal candidates have a Master’s degree or PhD in an engineering discipline with experience using ADS, HFSS, AWR, Altium Designer, Python, LabVIEW, and C++ for modeling and analyzing RF systems. This role focuses on Ku, Ka, V, and E-band frequency ranges, requiring expertise in linear and non-linear circuit design and digital communication theory.

What you'll do

  • Simulate and model RF front-end systems for hardware-software partitioning.
  • Derive RF HW specifications for the entire RF system and individual blocks.
  • Develop RF/microwave circuits, components, MMICs, boards, and packages.
  • Evaluate and characterize prototypes and RF components thoroughly.
  • Assist in developing automated test equipment for lab measurements.

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of research and industry experience in RF/microwave circuit design
  • Master’s degree or PhD in engineering with emphasis on RF/microwave circuits or electromagnetic theory
  • Experience designing linear and non-linear RF circuits such as power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, mixers, filters, and PLLs
  • Proficiency in RF/microwave design software like ADS, HFSS, AWR, and PCB layout tools
  • Understanding of digital communication theory with focus on bit error rate and system noise figure
  • Python and LabVIEW programming skills for test automation and modeling
