As a Propulsion Manufacturing Test Engineer, you will join the Barracuda Manufacturing Team to develop, build, and execute test campaigns that qualify mission-critical air vehicle propulsion systems and micro-turbojets for production. You will take ownership of the full lifecycle of engine testing by designing and fabricating physical test racks, instrumentation suites, and sensor harnesses. Your daily responsibilities include serving as Test Director during live hot-fire runs, managing safety protocols, and performing root-cause analysis on hardware anomalies. To achieve these goals, you will utilize Python to develop automated data acquisition software on Linux/Unix platforms while implementing CAN bus communications to interface with Engine Control Units. You will also integrate and calibrate critical sensors such as load cells, pressure transducers, and thermocouples to validate engine performance, reliability, and operating limits within the propulsion domain.
