The Principal Systems Services and Support Analyst joins the team to plan, coordinate, and support disaster recovery tests for brokerage business applications across mirrored z/OS platforms and non-production environments. This role involves proactively troubleshooting complex system issues in Mainframe, UNIX, Linux, Windows, and VMWARE platforms while ensuring stability and performance through incident management. The candidate will develop enterprise-level support strategies, design new systems based on requirements, and mentor junior analysts. Key responsibilities include managing batch cycles, performing technical analysis for divisional improvements, and maintaining infrastructure integrity. Required expertise includes JCL, Control-M, COBOL, DB2, CICS, REXX, TSO, ISPF, VSAM, Oracle DB, pgAdmin, ServiceNow, Splunk, Sysview, File Aid, Intertest, NDM, and Axway. The role addresses the critical challenge of maintaining high availability for large-scale mainframe environments supporting extensive batch job scheduling and complex data processing.
Plan, coordinate, and support disaster recovery tests for brokerage applications on z/OS and non-production platforms.
Troubleshoot complex system issues across Mainframe, UNIX, Linux, Windows, and VMware environments to ensure service continuity.
Execute operational procedures using mainframe tools, JCL, Control-M, and REXX routines to manage batch cycles.
Design new systems based on requirements and develop innovative solutions to improve support efficiency.
Maintain production stability by testing changes in non-production environments before deployment.
Develop and document system designs, test procedures, and quality standards for infrastructure and applications.
Act as a primary liaison for business units to resolve complex project and technology issues.
Monitor service requests and incident management tickets to resolve environment-related issues and restore services.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Information Systems, or a related field and experience as a Principal Systems Services and Support Analyst.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Information Systems, or a related field and experience as a Principal Systems Services and Support Analyst.
Experience automating and integrating mainframe applications, data, and systems infrastructure using Control-M and Job Control Language (JCL).
Demonstrated expertise in mainframe components migration using COBOL, DB2, CICS, REXX, TSO, ISPF, and VSAM across various testing environments.
Expertise in performing disaster recovery programs in compliance with DRII frameworks and standards.
Experience scheduling and monitoring batch application jobs within large-scale mainframe environments supporting at least 50,000 batch jobs.
Proficiency in resolving incident management tickets using ServiceNow, Splunk, Sysview, File Aid, and Intertest to restore service.
Ability to perform complex technical analysis for multi-phase projects across Mainframe, UNIX, Linux, Windows, and VMWare platforms.
