Principal Software Architect
The Principal Software Architect leads the architecture strategy for a large-scale, multi-product cloud-native platform on Microsoft Azure. Define and own the architectural vision, roadmap, and technology strategy for a multi-product cloud-native platform on Microsoft Azure.
Architect scalable, secure, and observable distributed systems to support millions of transactions and connected IoT devices.
Lead the design of event-driven microservices using domain-driven design, API-first principles, and asynchronous messaging patterns.
Establish enterprise-wide architecture standards for security, scalability, performance, and cost optimization across multiple product teams.
Oversee the migration of legacy systems to modern cloud-native architectures and manage platform modernization initiatives.
Provide governance through architectural reviews, design authorities, and the creation of reference architectures and guardrails.

What we're looking for
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's preferred).
15+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience in enterprise and cloud architecture roles.
6+ years of experience designing and architecting cloud-native platforms on Microsoft Azure.
Proven experience architecting large-scale SaaS products and distributed systems involving microservices, mobile apps, IoT, and event-driven integrations.
Extensive experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, GraphQL, and various cloud-native design patterns like DDD, CQRS, and Kubernetes.
Expertise in Azure services including AKS, API Management, Event Hub, Service Bus, IoT Hub, Cosmos DB, and security/monitoring tools.
Experience establishing enterprise architecture standards, governance practices, and technical roadmaps for large engineering organizations.
Knowledge of AI/ML architecture and experience in healthcare or regulated environments are preferred.
