TL;DR · Principal Power and Thermal Innovation Architect

Join NVIDIA's Silicon Co-Design Group as a Principal Architect and lead the exploration and implementation of next-generation power and thermal co-design solutions for system-level architecture. You will identify emerging ideas from research and industry, build cases for product differentiation, and drive alignment across multiple teams to integrate these technologies into production. Responsibilities include shaping innovation in workload-aware controls, advanced cooling techniques, and memory co-design while maintaining a pipeline of intercepts and briefing leadership on progress. Ideal candidates have 15+ years of experience in system-level power or thermal architecture, with expertise in areas like platform energy management and emerging memory technologies. Strong problem-solving skills, technical recognition, and contributions to industry standards are essential for success in this role that impacts the future trajectory of NVIDIA's technology.

What you'll do

  • Architect system-level power and thermal co-design solutions for next-generation products.
  • Identify emerging ideas in power and thermal through research and industry partnerships.
  • Build product differentiation cases for new technologies based on performance and cost.
  • Lead end-to-end co-design from concept to production across multiple teams.
  • Maintain a pipeline of intercepts, tracking status and decision gates for product axes.
  • Shape innovation in workload-aware controls, platform telemetry, and advanced cooling.

What we're looking for

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience with 15+ years of system-level power and thermal architecture expertise.
  • Deep knowledge in system power management, thermal architecture, platform energy architecture, workload-aware controls, or memory co-design.
  • External technical recognition through publications, patents, industry standards contributions, and active involvement in external communities.
  • Proven ability to translate research ideas into measurable product impact across multiple teams.
  • Strong multi-functional influence without direct authority, including excellent problem-solving and partnership skills.
  • Familiarity with emerging memory technologies like HBM and stacked memory, and experience applying machine learning to system power and thermal design.
