As a Principal Machine Learning Engineer on Zillow’s Agentic AI team, you will lead the development of advanced multimodal foundational technologies by leveraging frameworks like AgentSDK and LangChain/LangGraph to design multi-agent systems capable of autonomous interactions. Your day-to-day involves prototyping agentic prototypes using GenAI models such as reasoning models and real-time voice APIs, then deploying them into production while maintaining a high standard for innovation and reliability. You will mentor engineers in responsible AI practices, distill complex research findings into actionable insights, and stay at the forefront of emerging paradigms to drive product innovation. The role requires expertise in large-scale engineering with a focus on foundational LLMs, agentic AI, reinforcement learning, and natural language processing, as well as experience deploying AI services capable of handling millions of daily interactions.

What we're looking for
7+ years experience building large-scale, high-impact AI solutions
Expertise in developing multi-agent systems and reinforcement learning
Proficiency in deploying scalable AI services with high availability

Strong background in natural language processing and dialogue system development
Track record of publishing impactful research in top AI/ML venues
