TL;DR · Principal Engineer, GPU Design Verification (Subsystems)

As a Principal GPU Design Verification Engineer at Samsung’s Semiconductor Research & Development Center, you will lead the verification of complex GPU subsystems for next-generation mobile GPUs, defining and executing comprehensive verification strategies that ensure functional correctness and performance integrity. With deep expertise in SystemVerilog, UVM, and C++, you will develop scalable testbenches and apply advanced verification techniques to validate block-level and subsystem behaviors, while fostering collaboration across architecture, design, and software teams. You will mentor engineers, drive complex debug efforts, and enhance verification methodologies to support concurrent development cycles, contributing to Samsung’s Xclipse GPU project, which introduces ray tracing technology for console-level graphics in smartphones.

What you'll do

  • Define verification strategy and goals for GPU subsystems.
  • Develop comprehensive verification plans aligned with architectural specifications.
  • Design scalable testbenches using SystemVerilog, UVM, and C++.
  • Implement advanced verification methodologies to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Lead complex debug and issue resolution across multiple blocks within a subsystem.

What we're looking for

  • 15+ years of experience in GPU/CPU semiconductor design verification with a relevant degree.
  • Deep understanding of computer architecture and GPU subsystem design, including integration at block and subsystem levels.
  • Expertise in SystemVerilog, UVM, and C++, with extensive experience in constrained-random testing and coverage-driven verification.
  • Proven track record of achieving first-pass silicon success through effective verification strategy and execution.
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills for complex debug and issue resolution across multiple blocks within a subsystem.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to lead cross-functional teams and ensure alignment with architectural intent.
