As a Principal Data Scientist in Intuit’s Global Business Solutions Group, you will join the QuickBooks Payments team as a senior leader responsible for optimizing payments operations and driving strategic initiatives. Your day-to-day involves building systems to monitor key metrics, collaborating with cross-functional teams like Product, Finance, and Engineering to enhance payment processes through automation and innovation, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. You’ll need deep experience in global payments, technical proficiency with complex payment systems, and strong analytical skills, complemented by SQL expertise and a background in finance or banking. This role is pivotal in addressing the critical cash flow challenges faced by small businesses, aiming to streamline their operations and improve reliability through cutting-edge solutions.
Build and lead a function to monitor and enhance key payments metrics.
Design and implement long-term strategies for optimizing global payment costs and performance.
Evaluate payments networks and providers to optimize margins and customer experience.

What we're looking for
Deep experience in global payments across card and alternative payment methods.
At least 8 years of analytics experience with direct management in a high-growth environment.
Strong technical understanding of complex payment systems and networks.
Proven ability to use data for strategic decision-making and prioritization.
Effective cross-functional project management and communication skills.
Knowledge of financial, accounting, and banking systems.
SQL proficiency for self-service data analysis.
