As a Principal Cyber Software Engineer at our Tampa, FL location, you will join a dynamic software development team responsible for creating and maintaining mission-critical solutions used by government clients. Your daily tasks include integrating open-source and proprietary software components, supporting rigorous deployment practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve usability issues. You will engineer enterprise-level systems that adhere to best practices and participate in project design meetings while managing 1-3 mid-to-large scale projects simultaneously. Essential skills for this role include Python programming, experience with PKI/TLS security requirements, virtualization platforms like VMware or Proxmox, and developing software that integrates with SQL and JSON APIs. Preferred qualifications involve container management tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, system build automation using Ansible, proficiency in languages like PowerShell, Bash, or YAML, and expertise in Linux distributions including Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu.
Engineer enterprise solutions aligning with best practices for mission-critical objectives.
Facilitate software deployment practices rigorously defined and executed by the team.
Integrate open source, COTS, GOTS, and closed-source software based on customer requirements.
Support usability issues and project work across different teams within the program.

What we're looking for
US Citizenship and Full TS/SCI clearance required.
3+ years of IT experience with relevant degree or higher education level.
Current DoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher within three months.
Experience with Python, PKI/TLS security requirements, and virtualization platforms.
Proficiency in developing software integrating with SQL and JSON APIs.
