The Platform Engineering Intern, Summer 2027 joins the Database Engineering organization to help engineer and operate enterprise-scale database platforms. What you'll do

Engineer and operate enterprise-scale database platforms including PostgreSQL, Oracle, Cassandra, Redis, and MongoDB.
Develop automation, reliability, and security features for mission-critical data services.
Implement modern data solutions for GenAI, LLMs, vector search, and RAG workloads.
Drive platform innovation through observability and self-service capabilities.
Build scalable and reliable software solutions using system design concepts.
Utilize configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef to automate infrastructure.
Manage and maintain various cloud and on-premise database systems.

What we're looking for

Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.
Anticipated graduation date must be between December 2027 and June 2028.
Must have exposure to system design concepts and an interest in building scalable, reliable software solutions.
Experience with AI/ML technologies, including model integration or agentic AI frameworks, is required through coursework, projects, or internships.
Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible or Chef is required.
Knowledge of database management systems and experience with SQL and/or PostgreSQL is preferred.
Work authorization.
