The PKI Security Admin will join the GDIT team to support the United States Postal Service. This role involves managing the full PKI lifecycle, providing technical guidance to stakeholders, and resolving complex certificate issues across various applications and services. The successful candidate will supervise the PKI team, develop project requirements, and create documentation using AI and automation tools. Key responsibilities include supporting certificate automation using Venafi and CyberArk TPP while identifying opportunities for AI integration. Required technical skills include PowerShell scripting, REST API integration, SCEP, and Microsoft AD auto-enrollment. Candidates must possess expertise in ADCS monitoring, Certificate Authority Administration, and Hardware Security Modules. The role also requires familiarity with Ansible, Portable Git, Visual Studio Code, and Post Quantum Cryptography to ensure reliable and sustainable operations.
Support internal and external customers with certificate-related issues across USPS applications and services.
Provide guidance and training to stakeholders on PKI lifecycle management, processes, and procedures.
Create reports and documentation using AI and other automation tools.
Review complex PKI issues to determine effective solutions and recommend operational improvements.
Support certificate automation using Venafi and CyberArk TPP while identifying AI integration opportunities.
Supervise the PKI team and develop project requirements for complex and critical applications.
Provide technical expertise and strategic advice to program and project staff.
Monitor Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS) and manage Certificate Authority administration.
What we're looking for
9+ years of related experience.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline (preferred); if no degree, 4 additional years of relevant work experience is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and meet U.S. residency requirements.
Strong knowledge of PKI, Certificate Authority Administration, SCEP, and Microsoft AD auto-enrollment.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and experience with REST API integration.
Experience with certificate management tools such as Venafi, CyberArk, Microsoft Certificate Authority, and HSMs.
Familiarity with VCERT, Portable Git, Ansible, and Visual Studio Code.
Experience with enterprise IT infrastructure including Active Directory, Unix/Linux, and virtualization (preferred).
