Optical Engineer Intern

What you'll do

• Apply classroom-learned engineering skills to defense-related programs.
• Work on technical projects associated with core national security missions.
• Develop solutions for high-stakes national security missions with esteemed customers.
• Perform research-oriented work to develop practical solutions for national security.
• Apply engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards to project tasks.
• Handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity in a technical environment.

What we're looking for

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in Optical Engineering, Physics, or Systems Engineering.
• Preference for a student standing of sophomore or higher.
• Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of engineering technology.
• Clear understanding of engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards (preferred).
• Creative thinker with the ability to grasp and apply new information quickly (preferred).
• Team player who thrives in collaborative environments (preferred).
