Model-Based Systems Engineer MATLAB/Simulink (Regional Strike Programs) joins a cross-functional team to develop and sustain the systems engineering framework used across multiple Regional Strike products and systems. The role involves developing, decomposing, allocating, and managing requirements while creating executable MATLAB and Simulink models. The engineer will perform system analysis and design trades, ensuring traceability from stakeholder needs through architecture, implementation, integration, and verification. Key responsibilities include applying model-based design practices to complex defense, embedded, or mission-critical systems throughout the engineering life cycle. Required technical skills include proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink for modeling, simulation, performance analysis, and requirements validation, alongside experience with IBM Rational DOORS and Cameo/MagicDraw for requirement management. The work focuses on solving complex problems within the domain of regional strike programs by translating stakeholder needs into testable system and subsystem requirements.

What we're looking for
U.S. citizenship is required.
A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field, plus 2 years of relevant experience.
Master's degree plus 6 months of relevant experience.
Developing dynamic system, behavioral, or control-system models using MATLAB and Simulink (preferred).
Managing requirements decomposition, allocation, verification, and traceability using tools such as IBM Rational DOORS and Cameo/MagicDraw (preferred).
Applying MBSE and model-based design practices to complex defense, embedded, or mission-critical systems (preferred).
Proficiency in SysML-based architecture modeling and requirements-management tools (preferred).
