What you'll do

  • Own and pursue a research agenda to enhance model capability and performance for agentive applications.
  • Develop robust evaluations to track improvements in modeling capabilities.
  • Design, implement, test, and debug code across the entire research stack.
  • Collaborate on creating new methods to train core LLM capabilities, including reinforcement learning data creation.
  • Create user-facing features and support Microsoft products using state-of-the-art foundation models.

What we're looking for

  • PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Human-Centered AI or related field with 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Master's Degree in a related field with 5+ years of experience in managing and developing machine learning models.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field with 8+ years of data-science experience applying ML techniques.
  • Demonstrated engineering or research experience, such as leading feature creation or publishing complex graduate work/research papers.
  • Experience prompting, evaluating, and working with large language models.
  • Proficiency in writing production-quality Python code.
