What you'll do

Own and pursue a research agenda to enhance model capability and performance for agentive applications.
Develop robust evaluations to track improvements in modeling capabilities.
Design, implement, test, and debug code across the entire research stack.
Collaborate on creating new methods to train core LLM capabilities, including reinforcement learning data creation.
Create user-facing features and support Microsoft products using state-of-the-art foundation models.

What we're looking for

PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Human-Centered AI or related field with 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
Master's Degree in a related field with 5+ years of experience in managing and developing machine learning models.
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field with 8+ years of data-science experience applying ML techniques.
Demonstrated engineering or research experience, such as leading feature creation or publishing complex graduate work/research papers.
Experience prompting, evaluating, and working with large language models.
Proficiency in writing production-quality Python code.
