Mechanical Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and develop Navigation, Communications, and Control systems for Land and Air Systems.
• Create mechanical models and accompanying drawings using solid modeling CAD tools.
• Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using ANSYS to evaluate mechanical designs.
• Apply manufacturing fabrication methods and government standards like MIL-STD-810 and J-STD-001.
• Provide technical input to management to link project strategy with business goals.
• Write technical papers and proposals to communicate engineering requirements and solutions.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation in engineering processes.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 5 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
• Proficiency with solid modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and accompanying drawings (preferred).
• Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools like ANSYS (preferred).
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts, principles, theories, and manufacturing/fabrication methods (preferred).
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 and J-STD-001 (preferred).
• Experience writing technical papers and proposals with strong communication skills (preferred).
