Manager II, Trends Engineering

What you'll do

• Lead the technical evolution of Pinterest Trends and Audience Insights into a unified AI-powered insights platform.
• Translate team vision into a cohesive roadmap with key 2026 initiatives like Trends Digest and Topics expansion.
• Drive measurable advertiser impact by establishing North Star metrics tied to adoption, insight quality, and incremental ad spend.
• Embed insights and recommendations into Ads Manager and other advertiser journeys through close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Set technical standards for AI capabilities such as summarization, classification, and conversational insights with safety guardrails.

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years in team management.
• Proven track record of leading and growing teams that build consumer-facing products.
• Strong people leadership skills including coaching, feedback, performance management.
• Solid technical foundation to engage in architecture reviews and design discussions.
• Expertise in using data and experimentation to drive product and engineering decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI for improving speed and quality in daily work outputs.
• Proven capability to critically evaluate and verify AI-assisted work through testing.
