This role involves partnering with software engineers and product managers to build machine learning models through all phases of development, from design to implementation. You will leverage a technical stack including Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, and relational databases to extract insights from massive volumes of numeric and textual data. The position requires expertise in clustering, classification, sentiment analysis, time series, and deep learning. You will solve complex analytical questions to translate conceptual visions into scaled digital experiences, ultimately improving customer financial well-being through real-time, intelligent products.

What you'll do

  • Partner with software engineers, business analysts, and product managers to deliver customer-centric products.
  • Use Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, and Spark to extract insights from large volumes of numeric and textual data.
  • Build machine learning models through all phases including design, training, evaluation, validation, and implementation.
  • Translate complex technical work into tangible business goals for stakeholders.
  • Develop prototypes and partner with engineering teams to translate conceptual visions into scaled digital experiences.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and state-of-the-art methods for application.
  • Retrieve, combine, and analyze data from a variety of sources and structures.

What we're looking for

  • Must have a Bachelor's in a quantitative field plus 6 years of data analytics experience, a Master's plus 4 years, or a PhD plus 1 year.
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience leveraging open source programming languages for large scale data analysis.
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience working with machine learning.
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience utilizing relational databases.
  • Must have experience with clustering, classification, sentiment analysis, time series, and deep learning.
  • Must be able to build machine learning models through all phases of development, including design, training, evaluation, validation, and implementation.
  • Must be able to retrieve, combine, and analyze data from a variety of sources and structures.
  • Preferred: PhD in a STEM field plus 3 years of experience in data analytics.
  • Preferred: At least 1 year of experience working with AWS.
  • Preferred: At least 4 years of experience in Python, Scala, or R for large scale data analysis.
  • Preferred: At least 4 years of experience with machine learning.
  • Preferred: At least 4 years of experience with SQL.
