JOB TITLE: Manager, Data Governance & Analytics
The Manager, Data Governance & Analytics supports business analytics strategies to advance organizational reporting, data governance, and operational performance goals. Working across business, analytic, and technical teams, this role develops reliable reporting solutions, maintains consistent data definitions, and validates analytic outputs. Key responsibilities include performing data governance activities like maintaining data dictionaries and lineage documentation, producing recurring reports and dashboards, and conducting rigorous quality assurance through test plans and root-cause analysis. The role also coordinates cross-functional projects and supports cloud analytics modernization. Required skills include SQL for querying and reconciling data, experience with DataMarts, and knowledge of reporting logic and requirements gathering. The position addresses technical challenges in data quality, business rules, and reporting workflows within a complex data environment to ensure accurate, well-tested, and timely business decisions.
Develop and maintain business definitions, data dictionaries, metadata, and lineage documentation to support data governance.
Create and deliver recurring reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses using SQL, Tableau, and cloud-based platforms.
Translate business requirements into actionable analytic deliverables and practical reporting solutions.
Perform quality assurance by executing test plans, validation queries, and root-cause analysis on all analytic outputs.
Coordinate cross-functional projects by managing milestones, timelines, risks, and stakeholder communications.
Investigate data quality concerns and inconsistencies in business rules or transformation logic.
Support cloud analytics modernization by validating migrations and ensuring responsible use of cloud resources.
Provide technical guidance to colleagues on documentation standards, requirements gathering, and SQL-based analysis.
What we're looking for
5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, reporting, data governance, business analysis, quality assurance, or related data-focused functions.
Strong experience with SQL, including querying, combining, analyzing, validating, and reconciling data from multiple sources.
Experience supporting business intelligence and reporting solutions, including dashboards, DataMarts, reporting workflows, relational data structures, and analytic outputs.
Knowledge of data quality, data governance, business rules, reporting logic, requirements gathering, testing, documentation, and validation practices.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated experience supporting data governance and stewardship activities, including developing business definitions, reporting logic, data dictionaries, and lineage documentation.
Experience in healthcare, payer, pharmacy benefit management, government programs, or related business intelligence environments (preferred).
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent specialized training, professional qualification, or comparable professional experience in a related discipline.
