What you'll do

Leads the development of modern application and data solutions that support business objectives.
Manages the lifecycle of software improvements, upgrades, and maintenance for applications.
Conducts architecture reviews and guides engineering teams through complex technical decisions.
Designs and implements applications to meet specific service level agreements (SLAs).
Provides coaching and direction to a team of developers while actively participating in coding.
Ensures adherence to development standards and methodologies for efficiency and quality.

What we're looking for

5+ years of experience managing systems architecture and software design and development.
5+ years of experience managing an application development team.
Expert-level experience developing production applications using modern Python (Python 3.13+ preferred).
Strong experience with modern Python development tooling including Astral uv, Pydantic, pytest for automated testing, mypy, ty, and ruff.
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams while remaining actively engaged in technical design and development activities.
Proven experience balancing people leadership responsibilities with hands-on software engineering contributions.
