As a Lead Information Security Engineer at Wells Fargo, you will join the Mainframe Security team to provide senior-level technical leadership for complex information security initiatives. Your responsibilities include leading incident response activities, conducting digital forensics, providing security consulting on large projects, and designing highly complex security solutions across various platforms including networking, cryptography, cloud, and endpoint security. You will also review security logs, identify vulnerabilities, and evaluate remediation strategies while ensuring alignment with broader cybersecurity priorities. The role requires expertise in Mainframe systems like RACF, Security and Risk Management capabilities, as well as fungible skills for modern platforms such as Cloud, OCP, Linux, zLinux, containerization, process automation, and experience with technologies like z/OS, Ansible, and Python. This position demands the ability to integrate mainframe technologies into non-mainframe solutions, working in an environment with strict availability requirements.
Lead technical investigation of security incidents and conduct digital forensics to identify causes and recommend mitigation strategies.
Design, document, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution for complex security solutions across various platforms.
Provide security consulting on large projects to ensure compliance with corporate information security policies and standards.
Identify security vulnerabilities, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives for mainframe systems.
Utilize industry-leading security practices to implement components of information security such as threat identification and incident response.
Integrate mainframe technologies into modern platforms like Cloud, OCP, Linux, and zLinux.
Work in a high-availability environment with strict change success requirements.
What we're looking for
Over 5 years of experience in Information Security Engineering, including Mainframe systems
Expertise in RACF, security risk management, and modern platforms like Cloud, Linux, zLinux
Proficient in containerization, process automation, and scripting languages (Python)
Conduct technical investigations for complex security incidents and implement mitigation strategies
Design and maintain highly complex security solutions across various domains including networking and authentication
Lead a team to achieve information security objectives and drive risk reduction initiatives
