As a Senior Information Security Engineer at Cboe’s Security Engineering and Operations Team, you will manage and deploy various security technologies including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, Secure Email Gateways, and DLP solutions to ensure optimal security controls across multiple environments. Your day-to-day responsibilities include tuning security solutions, automating repetitive tasks, integrating diverse technologies, and mentoring team members on complex security products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle and assist in incident response activities while staying current with industry trends and best practices. Ideal candidates have at least 5 years of senior-level experience or a combination of IT and information security experience, proficiency in scripting and automation for security operations, and knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows administration. Familiarity with Databahn, NXlog, Google Secops, Bindplane, ProofPoint, and the Microsoft Security Stack is highly desirable.

What you'll do
Develop and implement comprehensive security solutions using various tools and services.
Automate repetitive tasks to enhance efficiency in security operations.
Normalize and integrate diverse technologies for streamlined analysis and response.
Document and educate team members on complex security products and services.
Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their impact on the organization's security posture.
Continuously test security controls and recommend improvements for effectiveness.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members within the security team.
What we're looking for
Minimum 5 years of senior-level information security experience or 3 years in infosec plus 2-3 years IT experience (system/network administration)
Expertise in security technologies like Databahn, NXlog, Google Secops, Bindplane, ProofPoint
Proficiency in scripting and automation for security operations
Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows administration, including Active Directory and EntraID
Proficiency with the Microsoft Security Stack (Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, etc.)
Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity or Computer Science preferred
CISSP, CASP or other related security certifications beneficial
