What you'll do

  • Develop actionable insights for clients regarding deal performance, competitive landscapes, and execution strategies.
  • Communicate complex technical analyses and recommendations to non-technical investment banking clients.
  • Design and implement advanced quantitative methodologies to identify and prioritize new transaction opportunities.
  • Build and maintain analytical codebases using Python, machine learning, and statistical techniques.
  • Source and manage high-quality datasets from multiple vendors to create robust data pipelines.
  • Create scalable technology platforms and tools to provide economic leverage for the M&A business.
  • Act as a local liaison to coordinate with global teams and internal banking groups.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in a quantitative/STEM discipline such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Statistics.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical reasoning with problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages like Python or Java.
  • Experience with data querying languages including SQL, MongoDB, and NoSQL to extract large quantities of data.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for interacting with non-technical clients and bankers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team environment.
  • Strong interest in finance, investment banking, and capital markets.
  • 5+ years of experience in quantitative modeling and development (preferred); 5+ years of experience in finance, investment banking, or capital markets (preferred).
