What you'll do

Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise APIs, GraphQL services, and microservices.
Provide hands-on technical leadership through architecture discussions, design reviews, coding, and performance tuning.
Guide API design decisions including schema design, query optimization, federation, and versioning.
Drive sprint execution and delivery accountability to ensure teams meet quality commitments.
Establish engineering best practices for API security, observability, resiliency, and operational excellence.
Support modernization initiatives using cloud-native architecture, CI/CD, containers, and API gateway patterns.
Evolve enterprise services to be securely consumed by web applications, mobile apps, and AI agents.
Manage API onboarding, documentation, governance, and cataloging across enterprise platforms.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
10+ years of software engineering experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
3+ years of technical leadership experience.
1-2 years of experience designing APIs, GraphQL services, and microservices for AI agents, copilots, and LLM-powered applications.
Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, GraphQL, microservices, Kafka, and distributed systems.
Experience building cloud-native solutions on Azure, AWS, or similar platforms.
Expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, DevOps, observability, monitoring, and SRE practices.
Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, IAM, Ping Identity, and ForgeRock.
Experience with GraphQL technologies including Apollo, GraphQL Java, Spring for GraphQL, and Federation.
Familiarity with MCP, agent skills, tool calling, and agent-to-agent communication.
Working knowledge of LLMs, RAG, AI orchestration frameworks, and enterprise AI platforms.
Master's degree and relevant AI, IAM, or cloud certifications (preferred).
Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, insurance, or other regulated industries (preferred).
Experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, or AutoGen (preferred).
