Day-to-day work involves collaborating with product managers and mentoring the engineering community while utilizing technologies including Java, Python, Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, HTML/CSS, Docker, Kubernetes, and various AWS tools. The role addresses the technical challenge of creating a transparent, explainable framework for real-time transaction approvals and credit journey navigation using distributed microservices and serverless infrastructure.

What you'll do

Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers in a distributed microservices environment.
Develop robust cloud-based solutions using AWS infrastructure to support large-scale credit decisioning systems.
Build and maintain high-availability features including scalability, observability, and multi-tenancy for the Decisioning Platform.
Create a transparent and explainable framework for executing complex credit decisions like pre-approvals and line changes.
Develop full-stack applications using languages such as Go, Python, Java, TypeScript, and SQL.
Mentor other members of the engineering community to foster technical growth and knowledge sharing.
Implement automated end-to-end testing and self-service interfaces to improve platform accessibility.
Stay current on emerging technology trends and participate in internal and external tech communities.

What we're looking for

At least 4 years of experience in software engineering.
At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
Master's Degree (preferred).
7+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go (preferred).
3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service (preferred).
4+ years of experience in open source frameworks (preferred).
1+ years of people management experience; 2+ years of experience in Agile practices; and experience leveraging interactive AI tooling (preferred).
