The Lead Software Engineer, Full Stack (Golang, Python, Java, AWS) joins the Decisioning Platform E2E Platform Horizontals squad within the Card Intelligent Decisions & Experiences team. This role involves leading a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers to build distributed microservices and full stack systems that meet regulatory needs. You will focus on strengthening foundational capabilities such as scalability, observability, multi-tenancy, and E2E testing while developing a self-service user interface. The work involves creating a transparent, explainable framework for complex credit decisions, including pre-approvals and credit line changes. You will utilize JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, alongside Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and various AWS tools and services.

What you'll do

Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers to create solutions meeting regulatory needs.
Develop robust cloud-based solutions using AWS to drive customer experiences and financial empowerment.
Build and maintain distributed microservices and full-stack systems using Go, Python, Java, and TypeScript.
Manage container orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes for scalable platform infrastructure.
Implement horizontal initiatives for scalability, observability, E2E testing, and multi-tenancy.
Develop a self-service user interface to democratize platform accessibility for internal users.
Mentor other members of the engineering community and share expertise on emerging technology trends.
Utilize RDBMS and NoSQL databases to manage and process complex credit decision data.

What we're looking for

At least 4 years of experience in software engineering.
At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
Master's Degree (preferred)
7+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go (preferred)
3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service (preferred)
4+ years of experience in open source frameworks (preferred)
1+ years of people management experience (preferred)
