The Lead Software Engineer, Full Stack joins the Card Tech Portfolio Decisioning team to build a system driving campaign execution across millions of card customer accounts. In this full-stack role, you will design, build, and ship complex features end-to-end, ranging from React authoring UIs to Python Lambdas and AWS Step Functions. You will lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers to create distributed microservices and full-stack systems that meet regulatory needs. The role requires proficiency in JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, along with experience in Open Source RDBMS, NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and various AWS tools. You will solve technical problems by delivering robust cloud-based solutions within an iterative delivery environment.

What you'll do

Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers to create solutions meeting regulatory needs.
Design, build, and ship complex features end-to-end from React UIs to Python Lambdas and AWS Step Functions.
Deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences for millions of card customers.
Utilize programming languages including JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go.
Manage container orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes.
Implement and maintain various AWS tools and services.
Mentor other members of the engineering community and share knowledge on new technology trends.

What we're looking for

At least 4 years of experience in software engineering.
At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
Master's Degree (preferred).
7+ years of experience in at least one of the following: React, JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go (preferred).
3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service (preferred).
4+ years of experience in open source frameworks (preferred).
1+ years of people management experience (preferred).
2+ years of experience in Agile practices (preferred).
Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling to accelerate productivity (preferred).
