JOB TITLE: Lead Software Engineer, DevOps The Lead Software Engineer, DevOps joins the Linux & Infrastructure Services team to engineer, optimize, and maintain thousands of enterprise Unix servers. You will lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers to create solutions meeting regulatory needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include driving large-scale systems engineering, vulnerability remediation, and continuous infrastructure improvements while building high-availability solutions. You will utilize a modern cloud and enterprise tech stack including Linux platforms, AWS, Terraform, Ansible, and automated Python scripting. Core technologies involve Java, Python, SQL, Ruby, Go, Docker, and Kubernetes. You will also work with Apache Mesos, Marathon, Apache Spark, Jenkins, Cassandra, and ElasticSearch. This role solves complex business problems by delivering robust cloud-based solutions within a distributed microservices and full stack systems environment.

What you'll do

Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers to create solutions meeting regulatory needs.
Engineer, optimize, and maintain thousands of enterprise Unix servers powering critical platforms.
Drive large-scale systems engineering, vulnerability remediation, and continuous infrastructure improvements.
Build high-availability solutions using AWS, Terraform, Ansible, and automated Python scripting.
Deliver robust cloud-based solutions in collaboration with digital product managers.
Utilize programming languages including Java, Python, SQL, Ruby, and Go for system development.
Manage container orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes.
Mentor other members of the engineering community and share expertise on emerging tech trends.

What we're looking for

At least 4 years of experience in DevOps Engineering.
At least 3 years of experience in Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
At least 4 years of Unix or Linux system administration experience.
7+ years of DevOps Engineering experience (preferred).
4+ years of experience with coding and scripting in Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Golang, Bash, Perl, or Ruby (preferred).
4+ years of experience with Apache Mesos, Marathon, or Apache Spark (preferred).
4+ years of experience using build and deployment tools like Jenkins and Docker (preferred).
Bachelor’s Degree.

Save
