What you'll do

Design and deliver an activity monitoring solution using a React UI and Java/Spring Boot backend.
Architect event-driven microservices workflows utilizing Kafka for reliable asynchronous processing and messaging.
Establish engineering standards for Spring Boot services including API design, security, performance tuning, and logging.
Develop data access patterns and optimized query strategies across MySQL and Databricks platforms.
Manage deployment strategies on AWS, including blue/green deployments, canary releases, and configuration management.
Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate builds, testing, and release orchestration.
Build performant, data-heavy frontend components using React and AG Grid for complex user experiences.
Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
2+ years of experience in a technical lead role driving design and delivery with cross-functional partners.
Strong hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot, with working proficiency in Python for automation and tooling.
Proven experience designing and operating Kafka-based systems including topics, partitions, and DLQ patterns.
Strong MySQL experience in schema design and query optimization, plus experience with Databricks and NoSQL datastores.
Experience building React UIs for data-heavy grids and managing Jenkins CI/CD pipelines with modern deployment practices.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools while ensuring security and compliance.
Experience with AWS cloud platforms, distributed tracing, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and Infrastructure-as-Code (preferred).
