Your daily work involves managing big data pipelines and complex analytics. You will utilize a modern technology stack including TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL, Python, and Go. Core tools include Open Source RDBMS, distributed NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS cloud-native tools. You will also mentor the engineering community, participate in architectural designs, and conduct code evaluations to solve complex business problems.

What you'll do

Take technical ownership of brand-new, greenfield products from inception to deployment.
Build and deliver highly scalable, distributed microservices with a focus on backend architecture.
Manage unique infrastructure and big data pipelines tracking billions of items and terabytes of analytics.
Partner with Product Managers to define technical strategy and turn ambiguous needs into features.
Lead architectural design, conduct code evaluations, and perform hands-on coding.
Mentor members of the engineering community on tech trends and new technologies.
Utilize TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL, Python, or Go to develop consumer experiences.
Deploy solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS cloud-native tools.

What we're looking for

At least 4 years of experience in software engineering.
At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
Master's Degree (preferred).
7+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go (preferred).
3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service (preferred).
4+ years of experience in open source frameworks (preferred).
1+ years of people management experience and 2+ years of experience in Agile practices (preferred).
