Lead Software Engineer, AI/ML

What you'll do

• Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
• Design and deliver scalable ML systems including data pipelines, model training, deployment, and performance monitoring.
• Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software and ML systems.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to probe architectural designs and technical credentials.
• Lead communities of practice to promote the use of leading-edge technologies like MLOps and LLM patterns.
• Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing across the team.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of experience designing and delivering production-grade distributed systems.
• 2+ years of experience building and/or operating ML-enabled systems in production.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python or Java and strong computer science fundamentals.
• Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption.
• Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Experience with data and ML tooling such as Spark, SQL, Airflow-like orchestration, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Practical cloud-native experience, such as AWS, including building secure services, secrets management, and scalable data processing.
• Experience applying ML to servicing or customer operations use cases (preferred).
