As a Lead SRE on Cisco’s Enterprise AI team, you will lead the architectural design and implementation of scalable hybrid-cloud environments, ensuring resilience and security across GCP and on-premise Kubernetes clusters with Anthos Service Mesh (ASM) and Istio. Your responsibilities include directing IAM policies and GCP Quota management for secure and cost-effective resource utilization, architecting multi-region microservices with DDoS hardening and automated secrets management, and designing an observability strategy using Elasticsearch and Kibana to provide proactive service performance alerts. You will also partner with development leads to integrate security into the automation lifecycle using Apigee for API management. This role requires expert-level proficiency in Terraform, Kubernetes (GKE & On-prem), Docker, Anthos Service Mesh, Istio, and Apigee, as well as a deep understanding of IAM implementation and GCP Quota management.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

  • 7+ years of experience in Cloud/On-prem Operations, SRE, or DevOps.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Terraform, Kubernetes (GKE & On-prem), and Docker.
  • Hands-on expertise with Anthos Service Mesh (ASM) and Istio.
  • Deep understanding of IAM implementation and GCP Quota management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
