Lead Platform Engineer DevOps, AWS, Kubernetes

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and evolve a highly scalable and reliable GraphQL platform for multiple business units.
• Manage large-scale workloads using containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Establish observability, monitoring, and alerting standards to proactively detect and resolve system issues.
• Develop automation strategies for CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform and Python.
• Design self-service developer experiences including APIs, tooling, and documentation for independent team adoption.
• Architect GraphQL schemas and RESTful APIs while implementing standardized API designs.
• Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Manage complex, multi-environment infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Proven leadership experience mentoring engineers, leading technical initiatives, and driving architectural decisions across teams.
• Expert proficiency in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Python scripting, and automation tools like Bash or Groovy.
• Deep hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code for managing complex, multi-environment infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in GraphQL architecture, schema design, RESTful API principles, and implementing API standards.
• Expert proficiency with version control (Git/Bitbucket) and distributed systems monitoring tools like Splunk, DataDog, Dynatrace, or CloudWatch.
• Deep understanding of OAuth 2.0, secure authentication/authorization patterns, and AWS cloud architecture for high availability.
• Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools while ensuring security and data sensitivity compliance.
