What you'll do

  • Design and develop custom applications using COBOL for corporate systems.
  • Analyze user requirements to design application systems and solutions.
  • Test, debug, and install operating programs on IBM Mainframe environments.
  • Document changes and maintain existing software applications effectively.
  • Train users and other stakeholders on new or updated application features.
  • Mentor entry-level developers in software development best practices.

What we're looking for

  • 5-7 years of experience as a software developer or designer
  • Proficiency in COBOL, CICS, JCL, SQL, DB2, and VSAM on IBM Mainframe
  • Experience with MQ Series, EXCI, XML, SCLM, IBM Debug, MicroFocus Revolve, Tivoli
  • Hands-on experience in object-oriented languages/frameworks (Java, C#, .NET) and RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle)
  • Familiarity with Integrated Development Environments like RDz, Eclipse, or Ms Visual Studio
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science/IT or equivalent
