The Integration/Test Engineering Intern joins the engineering team to support the setup, configuration, and documentation of hardware and software systems under test. This role involves loading software onto multiple devices and developing cost-effective procedures for testing and troubleshooting components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and full systems. The intern will contribute to creating test plans, requirements traceability, test reports, and case designs while documenting failures and performing results analysis. Key responsibilities include participating in formal systems acceptance testing, presenting strategies to customers, and supporting failure review board meetings. Candidates should possess knowledge of communications systems, software programming languages, automated software testing, networks, network security, power systems, antennas, RF, or mechanical design. Preferred skills include requirements analysis, verification, software scripting, and the use of automated testing frameworks and applications within a defense technology context.
Set up, configure, and document hardware and software systems under test.
Load software onto multiple devices as part of system configuration.
Develop cost-effective procedures for testing and troubleshooting components and assemblies.
Create test plans, requirements traceability, test reports, and case designs.
Document testing issues and failures while performing analysis on results.
Support formal systems acceptance testing activities.
Present test strategies, plans, and results to internal and external customers.
Participate in failure investigation activities and failure review board meetings.
What we're looking for
Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another related field.
Knowledge of communications systems, software programming languages, automated software test, networks, network security, power systems, antennas, RF, and/or mechanical design and analysis (preferred).
Skills in requirements analysis and verification (preferred).
Experience with software scripting and usage of automated testing frameworks and applications (preferred).
