As an Integration Engineer 5 within the Global Payment Network’s Partner Experience Tech organization, you will serve as a principal technical authority shaping how clients experience payment network systems and brands like Discover, Diners Club International, and Pulse. You will design, develop, and operate robust integration solutions for a high-volume, low-latency distributed ecosystem, focusing on frontend and API standards while leveraging AI-native and agentic engineering tools. Your daily work involves building reusable frameworks and managing the full commercial lifecycle for merchants, acquirers, payment gateways, and card issuers. You will utilize technologies including Salesforce CRM, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS Lambda, Step Functions, MuleSoft, Jenkins, and Artifactory to automate workflows and ensure system interoperability. This role solves complex integration challenges across marketing engagement, sales enablement, and contract management within a global B2B payment network environment.

What you'll do

Design and architect robust integration solutions connecting enterprise applications like Salesforce CRM and Google Cloud services.
Serve as a principal technical authority for integration design, automation, and system interoperability across multiple platforms.
Develop reusable integration frameworks, libraries, and patterns to ensure consistency and accelerate delivery.
Define technical and UI architecture strategies while establishing modern frontend and API standards.
Implement automated workflows for contract management, risk assessments, and merchant onboarding processes.
Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of high-volume, low-latency distributed systems.
Evaluate third-party supplier solutions and emerging technologies to improve system connectivity.
Mentor other engineers and lead cross-functional technical initiatives within an Agile environment.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
At least 6 years of experience designing and maintaining cross-platform or cloud integrations.
At least 5 years of experience developing or supporting API-based integrations using scripting or orchestration tools.
At least 4 years of experience automating system configuration or data workflows.
At least 1 year of experience implementing monitoring, observability, and automated remediation for integration reliability and performance.
7+ years of experience working in a cloud-based environment (preferred).
8+ years of experience with deployment tooling (preferred).
8+ years of experience designing and optimizing enterprise-scale integration solutions (preferred).
