The role requires proficiency in JCL, IWS, CICS, COBOL, VSAM, Python on z/OS, and Mainframe RESTful APIs to bridge legacy systems with modern architecture while collaborating in Agile teams using Jira and Confluence.

What you'll do

Manage and administer mission-critical IBM DB2 on z/OS environments as a subject matter expert.
Lead mainframe application maintenance with a focus on resiliency, high availability, and disaster recovery.
Use advanced tools like Omegemon and Query Workload Tuner to optimize Batch and Online processing systems.
Ensure data integrity and security by implementing Pervasive Encryption and managing x509 certificates.
Bridge legacy systems and modern architecture by enabling secure cloud connectivity via RESTful APIs and Python.
Design, test, and implement technical solutions while creating comprehensive documentation for system configurations.
Mentor junior team members and drive continuous improvement of database engineering practices.

What we're looking for

At least 4 years of experience designing and maintaining cross-platform or cloud integrations.
At least 3 years of experience automating system configuration or data workflows.
At least 3 years of experience working with relational database systems or Mainframe DB2 applications.
6+ years of experience as an Application Database Administrator or Systems Database Administrator (preferred).
5+ years of experience with distributed and cloud connectivity to IBM DB2 (preferred).
4+ years of experience with Pervasive Encryption for IBM DB2 or datasets (preferred).
5+ years of experience with DB2 performance tools such as Omegamon, Query Workload Tuner, or IBM Admin Tool Suite (preferred).
Bachelor's Degree.
