As a Software Engineer II on Flywire’s Payments Platform team, you will join a dynamic global organization dedicated to solving complex payment challenges in education, healthcare, and beyond. Your role involves designing and implementing scalable services, writing clean and maintainable code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the reliability and performance of our systems. You’ll work closely with Product Managers and Designers to contribute to product vision and mentor fellow developers. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in application development, expertise in web services and REST architecture, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS. Familiarity with observability tools, relational databases, and agentic AI development tools is essential. You will work within a tech stack that includes Java, Ruby for backend; React, JavaScript for frontend; and various databases and systems such as MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and GitLab for version control.

Fluent in English; fintech or payments industry experience preferred.
