As a Software Engineer II on the Payments Platform team at Flywire, you will play a crucial role in building and scaling our industry-leading payment engine, handling hundreds of millions of transactions daily. Your responsibilities include designing new features, improving existing functionality, and ensuring system scalability, performance, and reliability. You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers globally to contribute to the product vision while also mentoring fellow developers. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of experience in application development, expertise in web services and REST architecture, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS. Strong skills in object-oriented design, relational databases, and observability tools are essential, along with a proven track record in building scalable distributed systems. The tech stack includes Java, Ruby for backend; React, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 for frontend; and various databases and cloud services.
