What you'll do
Architect services and systems using well-accepted design patterns for iterative development and future scaling.
Design and implement AI-augmented workflows to improve the Australian engineering team's velocity and security.
Define SLOs/SLIs and work with global security teams to refine organizational strategy, acting as a regional owner for postmortems.
Serve as the primary technical escalation point in APAC to solve complex cross-system problems during high-urgency production issues.
Mentor the local team and structure technical proposals into the global company roadmap, defending team goals and fostering open communication.
What we're looking for
8+ years of relevant experience in software development
Expert-level Java proficiency with deep understanding of libraries and software evolution
Extensive experience with Spring Core, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and relational databases
Ability to design scalable systems using architectural patterns and principles
Proven track record of independently delivering cross-team technical solutions
Experience managing multi-team projects and high-pressure incident responses
Strong leadership skills in mentoring and fostering a collaborative engineering culture
