What you'll do

  • Install and configure Linux operating systems, file systems, and TCP/IP networking.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot HPC clusters with parallel file systems and high-speed interconnects.
  • Automate system administration tasks using BASH scripting and manage software installations.
  • Monitor system performance and optimize resource utilization for efficient operations.
  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback on escalated tickets to management and customers.

What we're looking for

  • B.S. in a technical discipline or 10 years of relevant experience as a System Administrator.
  • Proficient in Linux OS installation, configuration, and troubleshooting (Red Hat/CentOS/Rocky/Ubuntu).
  • Experience with parallel file systems (Lustre/GPFS) and high-speed interconnects (InfiniBand/Slingshot).
  • Skilled in automation via BASH scripting and software compilation/installation.
  • Knowledge of HPC workload management tools like Slurm, git, Salt, Ansible.
  • Capable of optimizing operations through resource utilization analysis and capacity planning.
  • DoD 8570 IAT II level certification required.
