What you'll do

  • Develop deep familiarity with autonomous robotic vehicles to serve as a technical expert.
  • Design, prototype, and install proof-of-concept systems and sensors for vehicle integration.
  • Construct test benches to validate mechanical, electrical, embedded, and software systems.
  • Troubleshoot vehicle systems using root cause analysis to minimize downtime.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for vehicle integration procedures.
  • Scale component provisioning and validation efforts to support expanding vehicle fleets.

What we're looking for

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 4+ years of experience with autonomous hardware and software systems.
  • Direct experience with key AV components like LiDAR, RADAR, GPS, and cameras.
  • Proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics and understanding datasheets.
  • Strong skills in soldering, crimping, cable management, and electromechanical repair.
  • Familiarity with standard shop equipment including CNC, machining, metal working, welding, 3D printers.
  • Expertise in 3D modeling (CAD, SolidWorks, Onshape or equivalent) for complex parts and assemblies.
