As an Electrical or Mechanical Hardware Designer at Lam, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to advancing next-generation products by improving costs and reliability through innovative design solutions. Your daily tasks include creating detailed engineering drawings and CAD models for complex parts and assemblies, implementing design changes based on supplier feedback, developing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), selecting OEM components, and managing multi-CAD layouts for large-scale 3D assemblies. You will also create electrical and pneumatic harness routing using CAD packages, advise suppliers during product development, and ensure timely delivery with quality as part of your KPIs. The role requires proficiency in tools like CREO, Siemens NX, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, E3 Zuken, Ideas, and PCAD, along with a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, GD&T symbols, and design standards such as UL 508 and SEMI standard. Experience in the semiconductor equipment industry is preferred, as well as familiarity with PLM systems like SAP and BOM configuration.
